Savanna Samson

A classically trained ballet dancer who spent 12 years studying at the School of American Ballet, Savanna Samson took an unusual path into adult entertainment, entering the industry in 2000 at the age of 32. Born Natalie Oliveros on October 14, 1967, in Rochester, New York, she grew up the youngest of five children in a Catholic family of Irish and Spanish heritage. She relocated to New York City at 15 to pursue dance, working as a go-go dancer and performing in Times Square burlesque shows before transitioning to adult film.

Early Career and Vivid Entertainment

Savanna's debut came in Rocco Meats an American Angel in Paris, opposite Rocco Siffredi. She signed as a contract performer with Vivid Entertainment in 2002, a deal that lasted through 2009. During that period she appeared in over 100 films and built a substantial awards resume. Notable titles include Looking In (2001), Any Way You Want Me (2003), Dual Identity (2004), The New Devil in Miss Jones (2005), Flasher (2006), and Debbie Does Dallas... Again (2007). She worked alongside performers such as Jenna Jameson, Sunrise Adams, Briana Banks, and Tera Patrick.

Awards and Recognition

Savanna accumulated a significant list of AVN Awards, beginning with Best Actress for Looking In in 2004. She received additional AVN wins for Best Group Sex Scene, Best All-Girl Sex Scene, and a second Best Actress award for The New Devil in Miss Jones in 2006. She also earned the 2005 XRCO Award for Best Single Performance and the 2005 Eroticline Award for Best Actress, International. She was nominated for AVN Female Performer of the Year in both 2005 and 2006. In 2010, she was inducted into the NightMoves Hall of Fame, followed by the AVN Hall of Fame in 2011.

Beyond Adult Film

Savanna co-authored How to Have a XXX Sex Life: The Ultimate Vivid Guide (2004) with Sunrise Adams. She made mainstream appearances on The Howard Stern Show and had a guest role on 30 Rock in 2009. In 2005, she launched Savanna Samson Wines in collaboration with Italian winemaker Roberto Cipresso, a venture she continues to this day.

Later Career

Her career in adult film spanned from 2000 to approximately 2013, with a brief return in 2015 for a Vivid project. As a blonde performer who entered the industry in her thirties, Savanna carved out a distinct niche among veteran models of the early 2000s era. She maintains an online presence and continues to operate her wine business from New York.
