Tera Patrick

Born Linda Ann Hopkins on July 25, 1976, in Great Falls, Montana, Tera Patrick spent much of her childhood moving between locations due to her father's service in the U.S. Army. Raised primarily in San Francisco by her British father and Thai mother, she is of mixed heritage. A period living in Tokyo during her youth preceded her entry into modeling at age 13, when she was scouted by Ford Models in New York. Before entering adult entertainment, she studied microbiology at Boise State University and obtained a nursing certification, working briefly in that field.

Entry into Adult Entertainment

Tera's adult career began in 1999, at age 22, following a shoot for Penthouse magazine that led to her first hardcore film work. She used several aliases early on, including Brooke Thomas, Sadie Jordan, and Tera Hopkins. Over the following decade, she built a filmography exceeding 100 titles, working with studios such as Vivid, Digital Playground, Evil Angel, Hustler, Brazzers, Wicked Pictures, and Adam and Eve. Notable titles include Island Fever (2001), Tera Tera Tera (2004), Reign of Tera (2005), and Collision Course (2008). She also founded her own production company, Teravision, giving her greater control over her output.

Awards and Industry Recognition

Tera accumulated a substantial list of industry honors. She won AVN Best New Starlet in 2001 and went on to earn multiple AVN Awards, including Best Tease Performance for Island Fever (2003) and Crossover Star of the Year (2005). The XRCO named her Female Performer of the Year in 2002 and Starlet of the Year in 2001. She was inducted into both the AVN Hall of Fame and the XRCO Hall of Fame in 2009, and entered the NightMoves Hall of Fame in 2008. Playboy named her one of its Top 12 Porn Stars of All Time.

Personal Life and Crossover Work

Tera was married to musician Evan Seinfeld and later to Tony Acosta from 2004 to 2009. She has one daughter, born in 2012. Outside of adult work, she co-hosted The Tera Patrick Show on Playboy Radio from 2005 to 2010 and made television appearances on Chelsea Lately and Last Call with Carson Daly. She published a memoir, Sinner Takes All, in 2010.

Current Activity

Now 49 and based in Los Angeles, Tera maintains an active presence through content creation on OnlyFans and feature dancing appearances.
