Tiffany Mynx

Born Shannon Colleen Cummings on October 7, 1971, in Upland, California, Tiffany Mynx entered the adult industry in February 1992 and maintained an active career spanning roughly two decades. Of Irish descent, she grew up in Orange County before relocating to Los Angeles at a young age, where she initially worked as an exotic dancer before transitioning to on-camera work.

Early Career and Rise

Tiffany's first on-camera appearance was for a Penthouse magazine video, followed by her first adult film role in the VCA production The DJ. She quickly established herself as a working performer throughout the early 1990s, earning recognition with a FOXE Award for Favorite Female and an AVN Award for Best Anal Sex Scene for Sodomania 5, both in 1994.

In 1995, she married former adult actor Cody Adams. She subsequently signed a contract with Elegant Angel, where founder Patrick Collins gave her the "Buttwoman" moniker in 1997. The resulting film became her breakout role, though she was already a well-known performer by that point. That same year she won a CAVR Adult Award for Best Performer and an XRCO Award for Best Girl-Girl Scene.

Behind the Camera

Tiffany moved into production and directing work alongside her performing career. In 1998, she wrote, produced, directed, and starred in Asswoman in Wonderland for Extreme Associates. She also established two production companies: Pagan Pictures and Tiffany Mynx Productions. She directed additional titles including The Toe Story.

Studio Affiliations and Later Work

Over the course of her career, Tiffany worked with a range of studios and directors. Her credits include productions for Evil Angel, work with director Jules Jordan, and later scenes for Bangbros, Brazzers Network, and Naughty America. She also appeared in Nina Hartley's 2008 Guide to Great Sex During Pregnancy. Her filmography spans more than 350 titles.

Awards and Recognition

Tiffany accumulated a notable list of industry honors. She was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame in 2001 and the XRCO Hall of Fame in 2003. Her award wins include two FOXE Awards for Favorite Female (1994, 1998), multiple CAVR and XRCO awards, and a 2007 AVN Award for Best Sex Scene Coupling for Slave Dolls 2, one of her final major accolades.

As a petite performer with a career active from 1992 through approximately 2013, Tiffany is among the longer-tenured names from her era of the industry, with a body of work that includes both on-screen performance and behind-the-camera production credits.
