Few performers in adult entertainment can claim a career spanning five decades. Taylor Wane, born Joanne DuTremble on August 27, 1968, in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, England, has been active in the industry since 1989, making her one of its most enduring figures among British Models.

Early Life and Entry into Modeling

Growing up in a middle-class family in northeast England, Taylor originally aspired to become a schoolteacher. At 18, her mother entered her in a calendar girl contest, which she won. That led to topless modeling for the Daily Sport while she worked at a Newcastle jewelry shop. She signed with a modeling agency and worked with photographer Ellen von Unwerth before relocating first to London and then to Los Angeles.

Adult Film Career

Taylor entered the adult film industry in 1989 at age 21, with her debut credited role in X Factor: The Next Generation (1991).
