A Chicago native born in October 1972, Nyomi Banxxx entered the adult film industry in 2006 at the age of 33, making her a later arrival compared to many of her peers. Her stage name was a deliberate nod to supermodels Naomi Campbell and Tyra Banks. Over the course of a seven-year career, she built a steady body of work across multiple studios and platforms.

Studio Work and Industry Presence

During her active years from 2006 to 2013, Nyomi appeared with a range of well-known production companies. Her credits include work for Naughty America, Girlfriends Films, Hustler, Mofos Network, and Porn Fidelity, among others. She accumulated 26 magazine covers, 5 photosets, and 21 video credits during this period. Standing 5'8" with black hair, she was a recognizable figure among Ebony performers of that era.

Beyond Performance

Nyomi was not content to work solely in front of the camera. In 2010, she produced and starred in the mainstream independent film "Caught in the Game," released through her own production company, That's Common Productions. She also co-hosted the Urban X Awards alongside Alexander Devoe in both 2011 and 2012, and by 2013 she was hosting "Chocolate Radio" on Sirius XM Radio. Outside entertainment, she founded a record label called FBC Records.

Retirement and Brief Return

Nyomi's departure from the industry in 2013 was, by her own account, unplanned. In interviews, she stated that discovering she was pregnant prompted the transition away from performing. Her boyfriend had been supportive of her career throughout its duration.

She made a notable return in 2016, though not in a performing capacity. Nyomi took on the non-sex role of Amanda Waller in "Suicide Squad XXX: An Axel Braun Parody," a casting choice that earned her an AVN Award nomination. The appearance demonstrated a degree of industry recognition that extended beyond her active performing years.

Post-Retirement Activity

Though retired from studio work, Nyomi has maintained a presence in adult-adjacent spaces. She continues to operate fetish-oriented content through personal pages and has tattoos including a heart with "Butta" near her navel and a lower back piece. She has used various aliases over the years, including Nyomi Knoxxx, Naomi Banks, and Goddess Nyomi.
