Born on March 17, 1979, in Tarzana, California, Nicole Coco Austin moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, as an infant and grew up involved in dancing and athletics. Her mother introduced her to stage dancing before her teenage years, and by the mid-1990s she had begun entering modeling competitions.

Early Career and Modeling

Coco won her first fitness competition, Miss Ujena, in 1997 at the age of 18. That early win set the trajectory for a career built around swimsuit competitions, calendars, catalogs, and videos. During this period she also attended college and earned a license as a professional massage therapist. By 2001, she had begun working with Playboy magazine at promotional events, and went on to model for publications including XXL, Smooth, and King. She later launched her own publication, Coco Magazine, featuring her own pictorials.

Film, Television, and Live Performance

Starting in 2002, Coco appeared in several low-budget films. Her most visible screen role came in June 2011, when she and her husband, rapper and actor Ice-T, starred in the E! reality series Ice Loves Coco. In December 2012, she took on a lead role in Peepshow, a burlesque production at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, performing through September 2013. During her Las Vegas residency, a tabloid controversy emerged involving rapper AP.9, who posted photos with Coco on social media and later claimed an affair. Coco dismissed the claims publicly, and the story eventually faded. In May 2013, she announced her involvement in the 2014 film Think Like a Man Too.

Personal Life

Coco married Eddie Williams in May 1999 and divorced him in 2003. On December 31, 2005, she married Tracy "Ice-T" Marrow. Their daughter, Chanel Nicole, was born on November 28, 2015. Also in 1997, Coco had breast augmentation surgery, increasing her cup size to DD. Her buttocks, frequently a topic of media attention, she has stated are natural.
