Kimberly Ann Vanderhee, widely known by her stage name Kimbella, began her modeling career in 2003 out of Miami, Florida. Born on October 13, 1983, in Tampa, she originally had ambitions of becoming a veterinarian before pivoting to entertainment. Her early work included spreads in publications such as Black Men's Magazine, and she appeared as a dancer on the television series "The Roof" that same year. In 2009, she landed a spot in Pitbull's music video for "Hotel Room Service," which raised her visibility ahead of her transition into reality television.

Kim's career shifted significantly in 2011 when she was cast on VH1's "Love and Hip Hop: New York," joining the show in its second season.
