Helle Trevino

Born Alina Popa on July 9, 1975, in Romania, Helle Trevino has built one of the most decorated careers in women's professional bodybuilding over a span of more than two decades. She began training at age 19 and stepped into her first competition in 2000, at 22 years old.

Early Career and Rise

Helle's competitive trajectory moved through amateur ranks before she claimed first place at the 2003 IFBB National Championship in the middleweight division. In 2007, she won the NABBA Miss Universe title in the Miss Physique class. Her transition to pro status came with an appearance at the 2010 Ms. International, which stands as the only contest in her career where she failed to place in the top five.

Olympia Contention

Helle reached the highest levels of the sport when she finished as runner-up at the Ms. Olympia in both 2013 and 2014. In both instances, she placed behind Iris Kyle, the record holder for most Olympia titles. Those back-to-back second-place finishes established Helle as one of the top competitors in the women's bodybuilding division during that era.

Career Peak and Championships

The defining moment of her competitive career came in 2018, when she won the Rising Phoenix World Championships, the premier event in women's bodybuilding at the time. That same year, she also took first place at the IFBB Muscle Vodka Tampa Pro. These victories cemented her standing as the most accomplished Romanian female bodybuilder in the sport's history.

Physical Profile

Helle stands 5 feet 5 inches tall and competes at around 181 pounds. She has black hair, blue eyes, and a muscular build that reflects over 25 years of dedicated training. She is now 50 years old.

Beyond Competition

Outside of the stage, Helle currently serves as vice president of European operations for Wings of Strength, an organization dedicated to promoting and supporting women's bodybuilding. This administrative role keeps her closely tied to the competitive circuit even as her focus has shifted from active competition to industry leadership.

Helle also maintains a presence as a content creator and influencer, operating accounts across multiple platforms including a paid content page. Her profile within the bodybuilding community continues to carry weight based on her competitive record and ongoing organizational involvement.
