Born Diane Foster on March 18, 1965, in Los Angeles, California, Dyanna Lauren built a career in adult entertainment spanning roughly two decades of active work in front of and behind the camera. Before entering the industry, she attended Azusa Pacific College, where she earned a bachelor's degree in music. Her musical pursuits included work as a backup vocalist for Rick James and performing with the rock band Thousand Year Itch, which released an album in 2000.

She co-founded the pet rescue organization New Leash on Life in 1999 with Steven St. Croix.

Dyanna was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame in 2008. She won the XBIZ Performer Comeback of the Year award in 2010. Her last feature credit came in 2011 with Taboo: Forbidden Fantasies.
