Born Crystal Tracy on May 15, 1980, in Granada Hills, California, Ariel X grew up in a Mormon household as one of eight siblings. She is of mixed Irish, Polish, and Russian descent. Before entering the adult industry, she studied business marketing at college level and earned an associate's degree.
