Early Life and Athletic Background
Born in Cleveland, Ohio in July 1967, Amber Deluca accumulated an extensive athletic record across multiple disciplines before entering the adult industry. She earned a volleyball scholarship to Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania, where she holds the program's all-time kills record and helped the team reach its first national appearance. She graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications/English.
During her time at Gannon, Amber trained in arm wrestling under Dann Carr, the creator of American Gladiators, and won the Pennsylvania State Arm Wrestling Championship. She enlisted in the United States Air Force following graduation, serving one tour overseas during Operation Southern Watch in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She was named Air Combat Command Athlete of the Year in 1992 and helped lead the Air Force to two World Military Championships in arm wrestling. She was honorably discharged in 1994 following completion of a Master of Science in Human Resources Management.
After her military service, Amber worked as a Security Administrator for the Mescalero Apache Tribe from 1995 to 1998, then as a Human Resources Specialist for the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs from 1998 until 2006, when she resigned to pursue a graduate degree in Educational Leadership at the University of New Mexico.
Bodybuilding and Strongwoman Competition
Amber has trained with weights since the age of thirteen. She entered physique competition in 2001, winning the National Amateur Bodybuilding Association Ms. Figure America show in Phoenix, Arizona. Photographer Bill Dobbins began working with her in 2002 and featured her in the book Modern Amazons. Dobbins also produced a full-length book focused on her life and career in 2012.
Her first bodybuilding competition win came at the NPC Mid-USA in 2003, where she took the heavyweight class at 170 pounds. Notable results during her competitive run include a 13th-place finish in the heavyweight class at NPC Nationals in 2005, a win at the Excalibur in Los Angeles in 2005, and a final competitive appearance at the NPC Master's Nationals in Pittsburgh in 2007.
Following a training period in Den Haag, Netherlands, Amber moved into strongwoman competition in 2011. She won the New Hampshire State Strongwoman title that September and placed 4th overall in the heavyweight division at America's Strongest Woman, winning the frame deadlift with 24 reps at 550 pounds and tying Worlds Strongest Woman Kristin Danielson Rhodes in the log overhead clean and press.
Adult Career
Amber launched her first website, buffmuff.com, in 2003, offering bikini content, nude photography, bodybuilding material, and wrestling footage. In 2005, she introduced the alias Amber Steel and rebranded the platform as Goddess of Fetish, shifting the focus toward hardcore BDSM and adult content. She has continued working under both the Amber Deluca and Amber Steel names since then.
Standing at 5'10" with a muscular build developed over decades of competitive training, Amber appears on the Tall Models list. With a career stretching back to 2001, she is also featured among Veteran Models in the fetish and physique categories.
