Born in Seattle, Washington on September 6, 1995, Alina Lopez grew up as the fifth of seven siblings in a conservative Mormon household before the family relocated to Mesa, Arizona when she was five. Following her parents' divorce in 2009, she moved with her mother to St. George, Utah. Before entering the adult industry, Alina held varied employment including work as a solar panel technician and a brief stint at a boarding school for troubled children. She also modeled for Nordstrom and Dillard's as a child and competed in gymnastics at a state level in Arizona, coaching other gymnasts as well.

She constructed her stage name from two sources: the musician Alina Baraz and her mother's family surname, Lopez.

Career
